I am a licensed Buff Bones® instructor.  Buff Bones® is a workout which focuses on building muscle strength, bone health, balance and functional movement. The workout integrates Pilates, functional movement training, somatic movement, joint mechanics and bone research. Buff Bones® classes are adaptable for varying abilities and is safe for people with osteoporosis.

Mat Class

Mat class exercises are performed standing and on a floor mat. Some  exercises are performed using small free weights, resistance bands and other toys. The workout is performed in a one hour small group class or private lesson.  I regularly incorporate Buff Bones® exercises and principles into private Pilates sessions.  The group class is appropriate for anyone who is mobile, has reasonable balance, and can get up and down from the floor.

Chair Class

The Chair class is accessible to those who cannot get down to the floor for mat class, but is appropriate for those who can too.  I always feel great after this class, I feel more uplifted, lighter and bouncier in my step.  We perform exercises standing and sitting on a chair.  Private lessons with modified chair exercises are available for those who cannot get up and down from the floor.  We focus more time in the chair class on mobility and strength in the feet.

Currently, I am teaching Buff Bones® group class virtually only.  Check out the Class page for our current schedule.  And contact me at the contact page to sign up for class.
